What is CB testing?

The CB Scheme is an international system for mutual acceptance of test reports and certificates by over 55 participating member countries (see below the full list of countries). The CB testing and certification is being overseen by the International Electrotechnical Committee for Conformity Testing to Standards for Electrical Equipment (IECEE).

How does the CB scheme work?

The CB Scheme helps you to obtain multiple international certifications from a single certified testing body.

What is the typical project plan for CB scheme? 

The typical project plan to achieve a CB Test Report Certificate is as follows:

1. Manufacturer submit product to Hermon Laboratories
2. Hermon Laboratories tests against EMC/Safety standards
3. Hermon Laboratories issue a CB test report and certificate
4. Partner of Hermon Laboratories use the CB reports in order to obtain market access to specific country which is under the CB scheme.

Information about certification

Upon request Hermon Laboratories will provide information about the certification scheme, including: evaluation procedures, rules and procedures for granting, for maintaining, for extending or reducing the scope of, for suspending, for withdrawing or for refusing certification, information about fees, applicant rights, applicant obligations, specific requirements, restrictions or limitations on the use of the certification body’s name and certification mark.
